Speaking Interview (practice!!)

I will have to take a speaking examination in January 9th. It is Job Interview. The interview is very difficult for me, so I should practice.


1. Tell me about yourself.
>My name is Risa. I’m a Kumamoto Gakuen University student. My major is English.

2. What are your greatest strengths?
>I have a sense of responsibility. If you left me to do the work, I accomplish my mission.

3. What are your greatest weaknesses?
>I’m shy, so I’m poor at speaking in public. But I want to be a good speaker, so I try to speak in various situations.

4. Why do you want to leave your part-time job?
>I want to work at your company. Naturally, I like my part-time job, but working your company was my dream.

5. Why should I hire you?
>I can work hard, and contribute to your company. So, you should hire me.

6. Where do you see yourself five years from now?
>I think I will continue to work at your company.

7. Describe your ideal company, location, and job.
>All members of your company are friendly, and everyone can insist on their opinion is my ideal company.

8. Why do you want to work at our company?
>I like travel, so I want to help a lot of travelers. And I heard your company’s employees were very friendly, so I thought I wanted to work with them.

9. Why don’t you have a job now?
>I am a university student, so When I graduated from university, I want to work at your company.

10. What good books have you read lately?
>I read “The Little Prince”. I think it’s a great book because story is interesting and a little mysterious. So I’m not tired of the book.

11. Tell me about a situation when your work was criticized.
>I listen to criticism, but if I thought my work was right, I will insist on my opinion.

12. What are your outside interests?
>I like walking. So I went to Kumamoto Castle last fall. I think walking is very important for my health.

13. How do you feel about reporting to a younger person (woman, minority, etc.)?
>It’s no problem at all, because I want to contribute to your company, so I don’t care about it.

14. Would you lie for the company?
> I don’t like a lie, but the lie that necessary for the company, I may tell a lie.

15. Looking back, what would you do differently in your life?
>When I was a junior high school student, my life is change. I fought with my friend at that time. After that, I could think other’s feeling.

16. Can you work under pressure?
>Of course. I have a tough courage. I think pressure is grew up me.

17. What makes you angry?
>A man who doesn’t listen to other’s advice makes me angry. I think other’s advice was very important.

18. Who has inspired you in your life and why?
>My friends have inspired in my life. They had a gentle heart, so when I was very tired, they helped me. I can’t thank you enough.

19. What was the toughest decision you ever had to make?
>It was the toughest decision to which university I go.

20. Tell me about the most boring job you ever had.
>When I was working part-time job last month, only a few customers came to my shop. The day was so boring.
