I met my frieeend!!

I went to Fukuoka prefecture January 27th. I went to various departments, and I bought a jacket. The jacket’s color is deep green. I like green, so when I found it, I was very happy!!:) And it was so cheap, because the shop that I bought the jacket was having a sale of cloth. I was very lucky!!

After shopping, I met my high school day’s friend. She likes music, so I borrowed some CD from her. She and I went to restaurant, and we talked about a musician, comic, school life and so on. We had a lovely time!!

About superstitions!!

1.Some people in the United States think a four-leaf clover is “lucky.” What do you think are five lucky things ion your country?

→A crane, turtle, carp, Maneki-neko and New Year’s decorative pinebranches are lucky things in my country.

2.Many people in the United States believe if you walk under a ladder, you will have bad luck. What are five things people in your country believe bring bad luck?

→A black cat, five-leaf clover, crow, broken mirror and number of 4 are people in my country believe bring bad luck.

3.What might happen if you break s mirror, spill salt, or sweep an unmarried woman’s feet?

→If I break a mirror, I will think that a horrible sight was reflected in it.
If I spill Salt, the bad things will come up.
If I sweep an unmarried woman’s feet, I will be past marriageable age.

4.What might happen if you put shoes on a table, let a black cat walk in front of you, or open an umbrella in house?

→If I put shoes on a table, dinner will taste bad.
If a blake cat walk in my front of me, the not good things will come up tome.
If I open an umbrella in a house, It will rains the next day.

5.Are there any superstitions in your country? Name five.

→Blowing a whistle in a house at night.
Cutting one’s nails at night.
You must not kill a spider in the morning.
A fool doesn’t have a cold.
When you saw a hearse, you had to hide your thumb.

Who told you about the superstitions that you know? What did that person say?

My mother told me about blowing a whistle in a house at night. She said that a snake will come to my house if you blow a whistle in the evening! So you must not blow it.

January 28th

My senior and I went to Shimotori January 28th, because I want to buy a lot of things. First, we went to stationer. I bought eraser, photo sheet and notebook. Next, we went to book store and I looked for guidebook and English Speaking book. There were a lot of books, so I was puzzled which to choose. Eventually, I didn’t buy it… After shopping, we went to Karaoke! We sang a lot of songs. Finally, we went to Yakitori Restaurant. I love yakitori, so I ordered many yakitori! My senior ordered fried chicken and fried nankotsu. Both of them were delicious!! We satisfied about the restaurant!:)

BR 2-14: More Macdnalds


I introduce “More Macdnalds” this time. This story had three chapters, but I introduce only one chapter.

Chapter one was “A Worry for Mouse and Jojo” Mouse and Jojo were twins, and they had a younger brother. Three children grew up, so their house because very small. Their father had a wonderful idea. He said they will built extra room on side of their house. They thought it was good idea, but Mouse and Jojo quarreled, because both of them want to use a new room.

This story was interesting for me, because I have a younger brother, so I understood Mouse’s mind!

writing test!!

1. What you learned in Writing Ⅳ
I learned how to write essays, and computer skills. I’m poor at writing sentence, because I don’t like English grammar. But I had to write a lot of blog posts and essays in this semester. I always looked up a word in a dictionary. So, Writing was very hard for me. But it benefited me, because I memorized some new words, and grammar. Then I could write blog post rapidly.

I also learned how to use computer in this semester. I like to use Internet, but I could not use other functions of computer. I thought functions of computer are very complex. But I had to use computer in Writing class. First, I couldn’t understand some words about computer. So I asked my friends about how to use computer. So I could get over Writing class.

2. What you still need to learn in order to improve your own writing
I thought it is important for me to write a lot of sentence. For example, I should write book review, movie review, free writing and essays. Because if we write many sentence, our writing skill come to good. Writing sentence in English is very hard for us, but I think it is important. And also, teachers should correct student’s sentence. We can’t find own mistake sometimes.

BR 2-13: Man-Eating Snails

I introduce “Man-Eating Snails” this time.
A main character of the story is Billy Steel. He was a wheelchair user, but he was very active!
One day, he had a brilliant idea. He went to his friend Ravi’s shop for telling Ravi about his an idea.

Billy said they are going to open Safari Park. Ravi thought Billy was mad, because we can’t get a lot of wild animals and enough space. But Billy had a interesting idea. When Ravi heard his idea, he couldn’t help laughing. Billy said he opened a Safari Park at Castle Park. There is Castle Park in Ravi’s back garden! Ravi thought Billy’s idea was fun, so he agreed with Billy. They gathered Castle Park a lot of animals. But all animals were not wild animals. For example, they gathered dog, cat, a large snail, a spider and a dead mouse. All animals were not dangerous, but they told a lie. Then they opened their Safari Park. A lot of their friends came to there.

A boy found “Man-Eating Snail”, but he couldn’t believe it, because the snail seemed to normally. Of course, his opinion was true. But Billy said it was baby of Man-Eating Snail.
A girl found “Very Small Panda from China” But it was a mere black and white cat.
Billy and Ravi’s friends found many crazy animals. For example there were “Leaping Trick Mouse”, “Wild FANGWOLF” and “BLACK WEIRDO SPIDER”.

Suddenly, they started to act up! So, Safari Park came tumbling down. But they got a interesting memory.

I thought Billy and Ravi were mad!! But opening Safari Park was interesting.

Speaking Interview 2 (practice!!)

21. I’m concerned that you don’t have as much experience as we’d like in English. Defend your ability.
>Surely, I don’t have much experience in English, but I have tried to get English Language Proficiency Examination and TOEIC. So, I can compensate my lack of experience.

22. How do you feel about working nights and weekends?
>I think it is no problem, but I don’t want to work overtime, I will work hard everyday.

23. Are you willing to relocate or travel?
>Yes, I am. It’s no problem. I’ll be willing to relocate.

24. Do you have the stomach to fire people?
> No, I don’t. Almost of people have family, and they support their family. So, If I fired people, they can’t support their family. It was very sorry, so I can’t fire people.

25. What would you say to your boss if he’s crazy about an idea, but you think it stinks?
>I will tell him my opinion after I affirm his idea. Then I want to talk with him about the idea.

26. May I contact your present teacher for a reference?
>Yes, of course. You can contact my teacher by e-mail. I will tell you her address after this interview.

27. Give me an example of your creativity.
>I made many costumes last year for parade in the city. It was very difficult and hard for me. But I enjoyed making.

28. Where could you use some improvement?
>When I was a high school student, I didn’t like math. But my math teacher was so interesting, so I like math a little. I thought teacher was very important.

29. What do you worry about?
>Yes. I worry about guarantee of contract worker.

30. How many hours a week do you normally study or work?
>I will be able to work more than 40 hours in a week.

31. What’s the most difficult part about being a student (or job title)?
>I use a computer in a lot of class, but I don’t like it. It is so difficult for me, so I have troubled with a computer.

32. Have you considered starting your own business?
>No, I haven’t. But I think it’s an interesting story.

33. What are your goals?
>My goal is working hard until retirement. I think I want to contribute to your company until then.

34. Here, sell me this (pen, stapler, etc.).
>This pen is very cute, so a lot of people bought it. Also it is easy to use!! I want you to use it.

35. The Salary Question – How much do you want?
>I don’t have an idea. But I want to salary that I can lead a comfortable life.

36. What was the toughest part of your last job?
>A lot of customers came to my shop in this summer, I felt thirsty. But I was very busy, so I couldn’t drink water. It is hard for me.

37. How do you define success?
>I think it is success that I satisfy others and myself.

38. If you won a ten million yen lottery, would you still work?
>Yes, of course. If I get a ten million yen, my mind that I want to help a lot of travelers is not change.

39. Tell me something negative you’ve heard about our company.
>I have never heard negative things about your company.


40. On a scale of one to ten, rate me as an interviewer.
>I think your scale was 8. You are good speaker and listener. And I think you are friendly, so I didn’t tense up!
